Data Deletion Request
This page explains how to request deletion of data sent to our servers by the Genba Chalo app (developer: Genba Chalo). See also our Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
- Open the app and go to the Statistics screen. Note your anonymous learner code shown there (format:
GC-XXXX-XXXX).
- Send an email to genbachalo@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and include your learner code.
- We will delete all server-side data associated with your learner code within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- Your anonymous learner record
- All daily progress snapshots (study time, answer counts, streak, progress percentages)
- All per-item answer accuracy statistics
This is all of the data the app stores on our servers. Nothing else is kept after deletion — there is no additional retention period.
What is not affected
- Data on your device (study progress, quiz history, notes) stays on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it permanently.
- Anonymous analytics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase / Crashlytics) are not linked to your learner code and cannot be individually identified; they expire automatically under Google's standard retention periods.
To stop future data transmission without deleting past data, turn off "Progress data sharing" in the app's Settings at any time.
